Yesterday, KK was moved from the oscillator to a standard ventilator and she responded to that transition well. She is even trying to take small breaths of her own. Blood pressure and heart rates are still mildly changing but more stabilized. As long as everything continues to improve, PICU has decided to proceed with KK’s pelvic surgery procedure today, and hopefully her liver procedure not long after. There has been no MRI at this time to determine if there is any damage to KK’s spine and/or brain, but we continue to pray and send out those positive thoughts to KK and her family for a strong full recovery.
